The Eight meter Njord with sail number 8 N-13 was restored in accordance to original drawings and materials, finally back in action again from the summer of 2009. The hull is carvel mahogany planking on oak frames and Oregon pine deck, restored to original specifications with exception of stainless steel bolts instead of iron. Njord was built by Anker & Jensen of Oslo, one of the most prestigious yards in Scandinavia using materials and applying craftsmanship of the very highest quality.
