Swiss, movement No. 118813. Made circa 1900.
Fine, large, gun-metal, gilt and painted on enamel keyless
pocket watch with semi-erotic scene.
Four-body, bassine et filets, gilt bow, bezel and hinges,
the back cover decorated with a painted on enamel panel
portrait of a standing nude lady gazing in a hand mirror,
against a translucent red guilloche enamel background.
Hinged gun-metal cuvette, gilt-rimmed glazed cover
over the movement.
Cream enamel with bold radial Roman numerals,
outer minute track with Arabic five-minute numerals,
subsidiary seconds. Gilt Louis XVI hands.
55 mm., matte gilt, straight-line lever escapement,
monometallic balance, blued steel flat balance spring,
index regulator.
