Gilt ¾ plate movement, straight line escapement with pointed tooth escape wheel, bimetallic balance, blued overcoiled spring, plain index regulator, pin set by means of proprietary wheelwork planted on the back plate, chronograph work also visible on back plate, primary sweep hand activated, stopped and returned to zero by pushing crown, split started and stopped by button in band at IX o'clock, inscribed gold cuvette, white enamel dial signed "Tiffany & Co., New York", fifth seconds ring enclosing roman chapters, blued hands, substantial plain case with maker's mark AN for Adolphe Nicole, London 1871, accompanied by apparently original display box and a ribbon fob with tipsy seal set with oval amethyst
