ROLEX REF. 1000 VACUUM TANK Rolex Vacuum Tank, Ref. 1000 Made in the 1970s. Apparatus for checking the water resistance of "Rolex Oyster" watches. The chamber is filled with distilled water. The lever creates a vacuum, thus drawing air from the inside of the watch. Escaping air bubbles indicate the exact location of the potential leak.
