To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION WITHOUT RESERVE at RM Sothebys' Amelia Island event, 6 - 7 March 2020.
Estimate:
$100,000 - $125,000

  • Desirable black-over-black color combination
  • One of only 984 DBS built with a six-speed manual and 2+0 seating
  • Less than 7,000 miles from new

Catapulted into the public spotlight by its appearances in both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, Daniel Craig’s first two films as James Bond, his Aston Martin DBS played a perfect supporting role to the iconic secret agent. Suave and sophisticated, the DBS boasted supercar performance wrapped in breathtaking coachwork. At its heart was a 6.0-liter V-12 pumping out 510 bhp, perfectly tuned for a spirited Sunday drive or crossing the Continent in leaps and bounds.

Finished in Black over a matching Black leather interior, this DBS is equipped with the desirable six-speed manual transmission. Of the 2,534 examples produced by Aston Martin, only 984 were equipped as such, accounting for just over one third of total production. Furthermore, this example features 2+0 seating, saving weight by deleting the rear seats.

According to the accompanying CARFAX, this DBS was delivered new to Florida and remained there until 2012, when it moved west, residing with owners in New Mexico and Texas. It was purchased by its current owner in 2017 and exported to Switzerland, where it has remained for the last three years. In its current ownership, the DBS has been driven less than 100 miles, with its current mileage showing just 7,000 miles from new.

An excellent alternative to other late-model, twelve-cylinder supercars with manual gearboxes, such as the Ferrari 599 GTB and the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640, the DBS represents remarkable value compared to its Italian competitors. Since its introduction, the DBS remains one of the most attractive production cars of the 21st century, and it is sure to be highly desirable to enthusiasts and collectors alike for years to come.To view this car and others currently consigned to this auction, please visit the RM website at rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/am20.
