Beschreibung

Condition: Very nicely restored and still a highly original example with original bright work, window glass, vinyl floor mats and other hard to find details. The rust-free original body shell is outstanding, having undergone a high-level repaint. The 1967 manufacturer decal remains on the front windshield. The original, matching numbers, engine was just rebuilt with new rods, pistons, cylinders, valves, camshafts and headwork by Ray Thompson. Dyno time only, producing 139 HP. Still running on pump gas this is far above the standard spec. A full mechanical rebuild to include engine, transmission, drive shaft, and rear differential. Beautiful engine bay detail. Radiator, steering box, suspension, brakes and other mechanicals. The car is stunning. Still stock in appearance, it has many performance enhancements. It is ready to rally or show.

History: The 105 series Giulia production began in late 1963 as a new model. The ultimate example was the Sprint GT Veloce of 1966-68. This beautiful Giorgetto Giugiaro design (for Bertone), is one of the most cherished Alfas of the era. Known as the “step nose” because of its front hood design. Only 6,000 Veloces were built in 1967. They proved to be very nimble, excellent handling cars weighing only 2231 lbs. The 1600 twin cam inline 4-cylinder engine produced 109 HP. It has a 5-speed transmission and ATE disc brakes. The Veloce is the ultimate 1960s 105 Series Alfa Romeo short of a $450,000 alloy bodied GTA.

Documents: This Alfa Romeo comes with a FIVA Passport and ASI (Automobileclub Storico Italiano) Certification. A copy of the Italian Libretto (Title Book) import papers and restoration record.

Equipment: Spare wheel tire, jack, tool kit, manual.
