Beschreibung
"The 1956 Suez Crisis saw fuel rationing reintroduced in the United Kingdom. This resulted in the slowdown in sales of large fuel thirsty vehicles. Leonard Lord, the head of the British Motor Corporation, laid down some basic design requirements for a smaller more efficient vehicle. The rest as they say is history. The automotive designer Alec Issigonis created the Mini, possibly the most recognisable British car of all time. Since its launch in August of 1959 the Mini has seen a variety of developments, including a new manufacturer but has remained in production to this day.
This 2001 Mini Seven is one of the last produced under the ownership of Rover. Presented in bright red with cream and red seats and colour coded red dashboard, the retro look of this Mini is enhanced with pepper pot alloys, chrome grille and bumpers. This stunning Mini is described by the vendor as being in excellent condition inside, outside and mechanically, perhaps not surprising from a car with such low mileage. The car is presented to auction with a V5C registration document, a full service history and a large history file containing bills and receipts. In keeping with its tremendous condition this car has an MoT valid until May 2019.This attractive and low mileage example represents and affordable way to enjoy a modern classic."
