Ford first introduced the Mustang Mach 1 in 1969, in an effort to phase out the “GT” moniker that had previously been a staple since its inception in 1965. With this model, Ford introduced the famed Cobra Jet series of engines, which offered an impressive amount of horsepower. This was Ford's mainstream performance automobile and truly solidified the company's position as a capable manufacturer of American musclecars. Ford effectively jam-packed the Cobra Jet with the perfect combination of looks and personality, making it equally as desirable today as it was when it was first introduced.

Ford considered the new Mach 1 to be wild with its SportsRoof styling; The Mach 1 also has GT-like equipment such as dual exhausts, Argent-type wheels; competition shocks, springs and stabilizer bar, racing-type mirrors, rim-blow steering wheel, clock, teak-toned woodgrain detail on the dash fascia and door panels, bright foot pedals, low-gloss hood paint, pin-type hood locks, high-back bucket seats and exterior reflective stripes.

This Mustang Mach 1 has been restored from ground up to national prize winning standards; it is well-equipped and looks properly vibrant finished in this exciting shade of blue with black interior. Options include the 428-cid, 335-hp (non-Ram Air hood) Cobra Jet engine, four-speed manual transmission, power steering, power brakes, Philco AM radio, front spoiler, low rear wing, Sports Slats on rear window, rim-blow steering wheel, factory Argent styled steel wheels and Goodyear Polyglas tires. The car is clean throughout and very nicely presented

Reliable sources indicate the total Mustang series accounted for 299,824 cars that Ford produced in 1969. From this, 72,458 Mach 1’s were produced in the same model year. Only 13,261 Mustang’s received either the 428 SCJ or 428 CJ in 1969. This Mach 1’s 4V CJ V-8 is acclaimed for being strong, fast and able to demonstrate loads of power. This Mustang doesn't hesitate to perform, so don’t be afraid to test the throttle when the opportunity presents itself. This is a fantastic opportunity to own a fine example of Ford's legendary Mach 1.
