case No.2086591. Made circa 1920s.
Fine and rare, keyless, 18K yellow gold, hunting cased
pocket watch. Accompanied by fitted box.
Four-body, bassine, solid, the front cover decorated
with Esculape, co-axial button at 12 o'clock for start/
stop and return-to-zero of the chronograph. Hinged
gold cuvette engraved with "Grand Prix Paris 1900"
and various Longines Grand Prix award medals.
White enamel painted with black Roman
numerals, outer minutes track with every five
Arabic numerals in red, outermost red scale to
30 pulsations, sunk subsidiary seconds and
30-minute register dials. Pink gold Spade hands.
Cal.19.73N, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decorations,
straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic
balance with screws, blued steel Breguet balance
spring, index regulator.
