Beschreibung
Established in 1967 and legendary for its long tradition of racing and tuning success with Mercedes-Benz vehicles, AMG made an indelible mark in the mid-1980s with its AMG Hammer, a V-8-powered E-Class model which delivered race-bred performance for the road. Offering a wide variety of upgraded engines, alloy wheels, and aerodynamic styling products as a wholly independent company, AMG signed an agreement with Daimler-Benz in 1990, supplying AMG-optioned and complete cars to Mercedes-Benz showrooms. One of the earliest fruits of that union was based on the W124, available in 300E sedan and 300TE station wagon body styles. As offered, this 1991 300TE AMG station wagon is a fabulous link to the celebrated Mercedes-Benz and AMG union.
Modified when new by AMG and initially delivered to a German buyer, this 1991 Mercedes-Benz 300TE station wagon was imported to the US in 2023. Featuring Blue-Black Metallic (Blauschwartz, code 199U) paint and complemented by 17" AMG Monoblock wheels, this modern classic displayed approximately 171,000 km (106,254 miles) at the time of cataloguing. A 3.4-liter, AMG-upgraded M104 inline six-cylinder engine delivers power through a five-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip differential. Black leather upholstery and an AMG body kit heighten distinction, and comfort and convenience are enhanced by an electric sunroof, roof rails, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, and a Becker stereo with CD changer. Accompanied by a data card, factory literature, and service records, this 300TE is a highly desirable example of one of the first factory-built AMG models.
*Please note that this vehicle is titled 1992.
