Beschreibung
The Alpine Renault belongs to that generation of cars which, between the 1950s and 1970s, entered the history of motor sport for having marked a magical moment of engineering creativity and stylistic finesse.
Born in 1955 on the initiative of Jean Rédelé, Renault dealer in Dieppe and already a brilliant driver, on the basis of the Renault 4 CV, the first berlinetta of the small French factory (the A106) already made lightness, aerodynamics and agility the points of strength that would bring its A108 and A110 evolutions to success in legendary classics such as the Monte Carlo Rally and the Tour de Corse, as well as in the World Rally Championship.
Alpine (acquired in 1973 by Renault, to act as the official "armed arm" of the French house in racing) closed its business in 1995; but the Régie revitalized its magical name as an independent brand and by investing massively in the technological updating of the Dieppe atelier, where 400 specialists created the 1955 unrepeatable numbered specimens of today's Alpine A110 Première Edition.
In designing the new Alpine A110, Renault engineers have made every effort to create a sports car as pure as the original from the 1970s: both in the streamlined line and in the search for maximum lightness put at the service of agility, precision response steering, grip, as well as the best power-to-weight ratio.
The Alpine A110 is extremely compact and light: only 1103 kg, thanks to the all-aluminium construction, based on gluing and riveting technologies inspired by aeronautical engineering.
The front end, with twin headlights, and side profile are clearly inspired by the original A110.
The interior of the Alpine A110 Première Edition is carefully designed and rigorously executed, with high quality components such as the seats supplied by the Italian Sabelt, excellent in reception and lateral support.
The steering wheel has a small diameter and a strong grip, perfect for "feeling" the response from the front end and managing it when driving at the limit; on the right spoke, a red button allows you to select the three engine and set-up calibration modes: Normal, Sport and Track.
The 252 bhp of maximum power is delivered (at 6000 rpm) by a four-cylinder 1.8 turbo-direct injection.
The engine is associated with a 7-speed automatic-sequential dual-clutch gearbox with selector paddles under the steering wheel.
The seats of the Alpine A110 Première Edition are welcoming and mitigate the impacts on the corrugations of the asphalt.
On the other hand, the engine has an extremely smooth power response, even when Sport mode is selected, and the Getrag gearbox has a very pleasant functionality both in automatic and in sequential mode.
The agility, the fluidity of the chassis response and the immediacy of entering the trajectory are a dream of the past duly updated by the suspension and tires of 2017, while the electronics are limited to ABS and traction control.
The car we offer was registered new in July 2018, sole owner until 2023, 2,730 original km, modernly equipped with Alpine multimedia system, accompanied by all original documents.
Alpine Blue colour, 18” forged aluminum rims, with all the comforts of a modern car but with a track soul and a structure inspired by aeronautical engineering.
No. 1487 out of 1955 produced.
