Il ne s’agit pas de n’importe quelle Peugeot 504 Coupé V6, cette voiture a bénéficié en période d’une préparation usine réalisée par Peugeot SARI Côte d'Ivoire, avec des pièces en provenance directement du service Course de Sochaux. Elle est à notre connaissance la seule Peugeot 504 Coupé V6 Gr. 4 « compétition client » ! Son historique est limpide et parfaitement documenté.
Voiture en totale conformité historique avec sa caisse rallye renforcée « usine », ses très rares et très onéreuses suspensions usine renforcées, son moteur type Danielson 225 ch avec arbres à cames et culasses modifiés, et sa boite de vitesse ZM rallye usine. Vendue également avec son volant, ses deux baquets en pied de poule d’origine et quatre jantes tôles conformes à l’origine.
Dotée d’un solide palmarès, elle fut vendue à Adolphe Choteau, Champion de Cote d’Ivoire des rallyes, le 30 décembre 1977 avec cette couleur Brun Acajou métallisé N°598. A son volant, il participa au Rallye du Bandama 78 (abandon à 28 km de l'arrivée) et en 1979 au Rallye des 3A, à la Boucle du Cacao (3e), au rallye de la Pentecôte, au Rallye du Bandama (abandon sur panne mécanique) et au Rallye des Mille Pistes !
Cette voiture fut ensuite pilotée par le fils d’Adolphe Choteau dans le cadre du Championnat du Monde des Rallyes. Jean-Marc Choteau prit le départ du Rallye de Côte d’Ivoire (ex-Bandama) lors des éditions 1980, 1981 et 1982 ! Après sa dernière participation en 1982 avec Jean-Marc Choteau(Jr) et A.M. Blanc N°23, la voiture rejoint la collection d'Adolphe Choteau et n’en bougea plus jusqu’à ce qu’Hervé Charbonneaux la redécouvre aux côtés d’autres gloires du rallye en 2005. (Notamment l’Audi Quattro Gr. 4 ex Michèle Mouton !)
Elle restera telle quelle jusqu’à sa restauration complète en 2013. Tôle mise à nue, restauration de la mécanique refaite à 100% chez Bernard Decure - ex motoriste Peugeot Talbot Sport et pilote aux 24 Heures du Mans notamment sur l’Alpine A310 V6 Poisson Dieppois ! Les suspensions usine ont été entièrement révisées dans le Var auprès d’un spécialiste avec l’aide de Peugeot Sport Officiel. La restauration a reçu également l’aide et les précieux conseils de Jean-Pierre Nicolas !
Après sa restauration en 2014, elle sera ouvreuse au Rallye du Sénégal Historique. Elle fera le 5e temps du prologue ! La voiture n’a jamais fait d’autre rallye depuis et le moteur n’a que 500 km.

Adolphe Choteau, dit Le Vétéran ou Monsieur Choteau, est un pilote de rallyes franco-ivoirien, né le 20 août 1927 à Tourcoing et mort le 6 avril 2018. Il s'est classé à trois reprises parmi les cinq premiers d'une épreuve comptabilisée en Championnat du monde des rallyes, en 1988, 1989 et 1991. Il est le compétiteur le plus âgé à être monté sur un podium du WRC, à 62 ans (un 2 novembre, à Abidjan). Il a participé à 22 reprises au rallye ivoirien sur 25 années, entre 1973 et 1998 (à 71 ans), dont 13 en WRC de 1978 à 1991 (n'étant absent du mondial qu'en 1982 et 1992) ; en 1981 et 1983, il lui a été donné de disputer l'épreuve sur une Audi Quattro (Gr.4), puis d'obtenir l'une des voitures antérieurement conduites par Michèle Mouton pour les saisons 1985 et 1986

This is not just any Peugeot 504 Coupé V6, this car has benefited from a factory preparation carried out by Peugeot SARI Ivory Coast, with parts coming directly from the racing department of Sochaux. To our knowledge, it is the only Peugeot 504 Coupé V6 Gr. 4 "competition client"! Its history is clear and perfectly documented.
The car is in total historical conformity with its "factory" reinforced rally body, its very rare and very expensive factory reinforced suspensions, its Danielson 225 hp type engine with modified camshafts and cylinder heads, and its factory ZM rally gearbox. Also sold with its steering wheel, two original houndstooth buckets and four original sheet metal wheels.
With a solid record of achievements, it was sold to Adolphe Choteau, Cote d’Ivoire Rally Champion, on 30 December 1977 in this mahogany brown metallic colour N°598. At its wheel, he took part in the 78 Bandama Rally (abandoned 28 km from the finish) and in 1979 in the 3A Rally, the Boucle du Cacao (3rd), the Pentecost Rally, the Bandama Rally (abandoned due to a mechanical breakdown) and the Rallye des Mille Pistes!
This car was then driven by Adolphe Choteau's son in the World Rally Championship. Jean-Marc Choteau took part in the Rallye de Côte d'Ivoire (ex-Bandama) in 1980, 1981 and 1982! After its last participation in 1982 with Jean-Marc Choteau(Jr) and A.M. Blanc N°23, the car joined Adolphe Choteau's collection and remained there until Hervé Charbonneaux rediscovered it alongside other rally glories in 2005. (Notably the Audi Quattro Gr. 4 ex Michele Mouton!)
It will remain as is until its complete restoration in 2013. Bare sheet metal, 100% restoration of the mechanics at Bernard Decure - ex Peugeot Talbot Sport engine builder and 24 Hours of Le Mans driver notably on the Alpine A310 V6 Poisson Dieppois! The factory suspensions were completely overhauled in the Var region of France by a specialist with the help of Peugeot Sport Officiel. The restoration also received the help and precious advice of Jean-Pierre Nicolas!
After its restoration in 2014, it will be an opener at the Rallye du Sénégal Historique. It will do the 5th time of the prologue! The car has never done another rally since and the engine has only 500 km.
