Beschreibung

The Ferrari 575M (‘M’ for ‘Modificata’) was conceived as a replacement for the 550 Maranello, and featured multiple changes in interior, weight distribution, braking, aerodynamics, headlamps and suspension. The superior driving experience was accompanied by a bump in horsepower, with 30 horsepower more (508hp) than the 550 Maranello until 2005, and 25 more (533hp) from 2005 to the end of production in 2006, when it was replaced by the 599 GTB.

A small batch of 559 ‘Superamerica’ models was made on the 575 base, featuring a unique folding electrochromic roof controlled with a dial in the passenger cabin. A special GTC handling package and a manual gearbox (43 built) were optional in the Superamerica model.

This particular example, a European specification delivered new in Finland, left the assembly line in January of 2006, and was sold new later that year. Still in Europe, it changed hands to a French collector, and was later sold to Japan, where we acquired it. In late 2021, we sold it to a client from East Asia; who later on became unable to take delivery of the car, and subsequently decided to consign it with us.

This F1, non-GTC 575 has received a full timing belt service in 2021, and a panoramic roof replacement ($72,000 value, with corresponding struts in the lift mechanism) due to a crack in the original unit. An extremely original example, this 575 Superamerica presents a unique opportunity to secure a low-production, investment-grade Ferrari with comprehensive maintenance, a fresh glass roof, and less than 9,000 kilometers in the clock.
