Since its first appearance in 1970, the Range Rover has undergone constant evolution and subsequent improvements.
The most elegant SUV in the world, it boasts exceptional levels of sophistication, typical features of the range, combined with an original and innovative design for the time. At its debut it is available exclusively in the 3-door version with a 4-speed manual gearbox, V8 engine and innovative permanent all-wheel drive, combined with a lockable center differential.
The evolution has followed, over the years, the needs of customers leading to the presentation of the 5-door version in 1981 and the one with automatic transmission in the following year.
1983 saw the introduction of the 5-speed manual gearbox and 1985 the adoption of the injection engine. It goes out of production in 1996, after 26 years of glorious career.
