At the 1967 Monza 1000 Km, Hill yielded with a broken driveshaft to the winning Ferrari piloted by Lorenzo Bandini and Chris Amon. This would be Hill's final race at Monza, the site of two of his Grand Prix victories for Ferrari in 1960 and 1961.
