We have a wonderful Triumph 1800 Roadster. This Triumph entered the general traffic in the UK on the 29th November 1946. This is an older top quality restored car. Bart Holland took care of the

restoration in 1998. The car then underwent a nut&bolt restoration in keeping with the vehicle’s authenticity. The car is currently still in great shape. The black paintwork is in good condition with only minimal signs of use. The hood is also in good condition and provides an all-round seal. The bodywork is still lovely. The Triumph 1800’s design dates back towards the end of the war. During that period they often relied on pre-war conceptions with updated characteristics. TheTriumph 1800 Roadster is a good example of this and 75 years later it still has that lovely typical appearance. The Triumph’s chassis is made up of a tubular chassis bolted to a wooden frame and mounted to the aluminium body panels. It is obvious that good ongoing care and attention have been lavished on this car since its restoration in the late 90’s. The condition of the aluminium body panels is still very fine with correct shut lines. The chassis is rock solid and in prime condition. The extensive amount of brightwork appears as if it had recently been re-chromed. The car’s interior is also very nice indeed. Usually car parts do not get any prettier as the get older. The one exception to this is well maintained high quality leather. The blue leather contrasts lovely with the black exterior paintwork and has weathered really well. The Dicky-seat also has the blue leather upholstery and its condition has been enhanced by the little use it has had. Furthermore the blue carpeting has worn extremely well. All of the wood veneer was replaced during the restoration. They used the original woodwork as a template to good effect and the result, even today, is still factory fresh. All of the dashboard instruments have been restored and are in good working order. A restoration is certainly not complete without the appropriate attention to the car’s mechanical aspects. You will not be surprised that this too was carried out to the highest standards. The 1.8 litre 4-cylinder engine was totally rebuilt. Apart from the engine, the gearbox and complete suspension has been brought back to new. Every bit of tubing, every gasket and every nut and bolt was refurbished. The suspension has also been re-painted. Even though the restoration took place some while ago, the car is still in excellent condition, thanks to the care and attention it has received over the last 20 odd years. All your hard restoration work would be quickly lost if a car is left to the elements. This Triumph 1800 Roadster comes with a huge amount of documentation. Besides the original English paperwork, there are many manuals and electrical schemes as well as the extensive photographic restoration rapport. The Triumph 1800 Roadster was a rarity when she first saw the day of light 75 years ago and has only become even more rare since. This is the car for the person that loves their Triumph and is looking for a good quality, stylish 1800 Roadster. Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975!
