The Volkswagen Beetle is no longer to be presented. It was the first car ever built by Volkswagen, whose name means "people's car". Designed by the Austrian engineer Ferdinand Porsche, it will be produced from 1938 to 2003. Its longevity and sells number are unique in automotive statistics. In 1972, the Beetle overtook the Ford T's record for the number of single car model sold, with 21 529 464 copies worldwide. Powered in its initial version by a flat four-cylinder engine. of 985 cm3 developing 25 hp, the technical evolution of the Beetle will take place in different sizes engine, increasing in displacement to finally reach 1584 cm3 and 50 hp in 1972.
This charming Volkswagen Beetle wears a light grey colour paint in accordance with the colour chart of the time and is in good condition. With a nice patina, it seems to be a very original car. 1969 model year, its lines are rounder and very close to the original drawing that is preferred by the collectors. Inside we find the straight dashboard with the sleek design of the 1960's versions so characteristic of the early model. It features a roof rack that gives it a delightful vintage look in the spirit of a car devoted to pleasure drives and very useful if it takes the road for the holidays. According to its owner, this car was always maintained and its mechanics were restored with care recently. In fact, you only have to lift the rear hood to see that a good amount of original parts have been refurbished rather than replaced. His D-series engine is a 1192 cc of original and during our test, we were able to note its good working order. The gear box engage precisely and the clutch is perfectly adjusted. Let's talk about the brakes because they are so efficient on this model, as is the steering, precise and light... to make it short, it is a deliciously retro looking car, as well as being an icon for the discerning car collector.
