"The Yamaha XS750 and Yamaha XS850 was a line of in-line three cylinder motorcycles produced by the Yamaha Motor Corporation from 1976 to 1981 for the worldwide motorcycle market. The last model year of manufacturing was 1981. Released in Japan in 1976 as the GX750 sporting wire wheels (as opposed to cast alloy in all other models) the XS750 became the name for the export model. These motorcycles are usually referred to as ‘triples’ because they have three cylinders with the earlier first four model years production displacing 750cc.This time-warp example has been liberated from an eccentric collector who, after three years of use, parked the bike in his house and left it there until late 2017. Not surprisingly the condition of this bike is as it was in 1981 and it has covered less than 3,500 miles. Having never required an MoT test certificate and standing on its original factory tyres, this example has had some light recommissioning but having been inside the owner’s house we are informed there are no signs of brittle plastics or corrosion. A fabulous opportunity to own a motorcycle that has spent 37 years in hibernation."
