Beschreibung

Named for Alfredino Ferrari, beloved son of Enzo, the Dino GT was the first production car from the Ferrari stable to sport the mid-rear V-6 engine. Built from 1969 through 1974, the Dino 246 became exceptionally popular for its agility, performance, and beautiful Pininfarina design. Many marque aficionados regard the Dino 246 as a trailblazer and one of the most significant Ferraris ever built – even though it never wore the prancing horse badge.

This Dino GT was completed in 1973 in Rosso Cordoba Metallizzato, with the very desirable option of Borletti air-conditioning. A US-specification model, the car was sold new in Los Angeles, where it remained for many years before heading to the Pacific Northwest in the last decade.

Never fully restored, Dino 04374 has instead been consistently maintained and regularly enjoyed as a driver. In 2014, the engine was rebuilt and dynotested, the transaxle was serviced, and AC recharged at a total cost of over $40,000. Since then, the Dino has been driven sparingly.

Presenting with the original spare, jack, and manuals, plus a portfolio of service records, appraisals, and documents, this Dino 246 GT is an attractive and authentic example of this classic Italian sports car, offering a window of opportunity to acquire an original landmark Ferrari with excellent potential.
