Beschreibung
Chassis No. WDDRJ7HA8BA000633
This SLS was released for production on 23 March 2010, early in the model's run at Sindelfingen, and built to U.S. specification. It is finished in Iridium Silver Metallic with the optional woven designo Light Brown leather interior, an option offered only in this color. It was additionally optioned with carbon fiber mirror covers, three-piece carbon fiber engine compartment covers, high-gloss carbon interior trim, AMG 10-spoke forged wheels, and a 1,000-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Silver Star Motors in Long Island City, New York, sold the car new in May 2010, after which it was registered in Florida, Georgia, and California, according to its U.S.-sourced CARFAX Vehicle History Report. The car later went to Texas, where, in August 2017, it was reported flood and water damaged, with the "vehicle declared a total loss by an insurance company" as noted on the CARFAX. It was subsequently repainted and passed through Kentucky and New Jersey before being exported to Germany in May 2018, with 19,819 miles, or 31,896 kilometers, recorded at its final U.S. service by Mercedes-Benz of Caldwell in Fairfield, New Jersey. Today the car is registered in Switzerland, passing its technical inspection without fault. The consigning Broad Arrow Group Specialist also notes that the car both drives and presents beautifully, showing just over 52,000 kilometers at the time of cataloging.
As a modern reinterpretation of one of Mercedes-Benz's most celebrated shapes, and one of AMG's most significant modern achievements, the SLS AMG holds a singular place in the marque's lineage, carrying the Gullwing tradition forward for a new generation. This early example pairs that heritage with a desirable specification, from its woven designo hides to its carbon fiber details and Bang & Olufsen sound.
