Beschreibung
Chassis No. SBM14SCB6NW765145
Limitation No. 145/765
Unveiled in 2020, the new 765LT represented McLaren's most extreme Long Tail model yet. The car was available in either Coupe or Spider form, with the Spider featuring an electrically operated retractable carbon fiber hard top which could be lowered or raised in just 11 seconds and at speeds of up to approximately 50 km/h. Both 765LT variants employed a similar Monocage II carbon fiber monocoque chassis to the 720S; the Spider's structure was modified with bonded-in carbon fiber rollover supports. The 765LT also retained the familiar V8 twin-turbocharged Type M840T engine, with power boosted to a mammoth 765 PS. Aerodynamically, the 765LT offered a 25-percent increase in downforce relative to the 720S; boasting a significantly larger active rear wing, revised carbon fiber floor, and extended front splitter and rear diffuser. Tipping the scales at just 1,388 kilograms, the 765LT Spider was some 80 kilograms lighter than the 720S Spider, a fact instrumental in its startling ability to reach 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h.
This 2022 Mclaren 765LT Spider is number 145 of the mere 765 examples built. It is finished in Amaranth Red, a delightful finish from McLaren's Elite color palette. This striking finish is complemented by both the Stealth Pack and MSO LT Black Pack, with Gloss Black finishes delicately covering much of the 765LT's distinct aerodynamic elements and other exterior surfaces including its standard 10-Spoke Super-Lightweight Wheels. Its cockpit can be observed or obscured by the Electrochromic roof which can adjust the level of tint with the push of a button. Subtle orange contrast stitching punctuates the Carbon Black Alcantara upholstery, with the rest of the interior surfaces finished in Carbon Fiber-including the center tunnel, visible body structure, and steering wheel paddles. The 765LT's extensive options list is rounded off with amenities including air conditioning, parking sensors, and a vehicle lift.
Built to Swiss specifications, this left-hand-drive example was delivered new through McLaren Genève on 2 October 2022 according to its accompanying stamped service booklet. The car has remained local under the care of its sole private owner, with annual services conducted at McLaren Genève. In fact, the 765LT received its comprehensive 4-year service on 2 October 2026, which encompassed an oil change, brake fluid flush, and inspection of many of its major mechanical systems.
Offered today from single ownership with just 2,096 kilometers at cataloging, with a plethora of desirable options and on the back of a major service, this 2022 McLaren 765LT Spider ticks all the boxes for a collector-grade example of McLaren's most unrestrained Long Tail yet.
