The Boxer offered here is the fuel-injected, final development of Maranello's original mid-engine flagship. Completed in May 1983, its history can be traced through a series of services from Garage du Soleil, the Ferrari specialist in Perly on the outskirts of Geneva. The earliest, dated October 2000, records 19,900 km on the odometer. Further visits followed in 2002, when the car showed 32,136 km, and every two years through 2008, by which point it had reached 43,932 km. The pace slowed considerably thereafter, with the Ferrari recorded at 44,200 km in February 2012.
The most significant work came in March 2015 at 46,550 km when the engine and transmission were removed, the cylinder heads were taken off and resurfaced, the valves and guides replaced, and the combustion chambers decarbonized. The timing and alternator belts, both tensioner bearings, and the coolant and fuel hoses were renewed, the water pump was overhauled, and the exhaust manifolds and mufflers were blasted and refinished. In October 2026, Ferrari confirmed in correspondence with the consignor that the Boxer retains its original engine and transmission.
After emerging with a fully refreshed drivetrain, regular maintenance continued with visits logged at 47,928 km in September 2017, 49,600 km in July 2021, 50,471 km in July 2023, and 51,228 km in August 2025. In total, the Boxer has covered fewer than 4,700 km in the decade that followed the substantial engine work.
The iconic wedge silhouette wears a monochrome Rosso Corsa finish, while inside, Beige leather seats and door panels are set against a black leather-trimmed dashboard fitted with a correct Pioneer cassette stereo and graphic equalizer. Now showing just 52,222 kilometers at cataloging, the Ferrari is offered with an owner's manual, a tool roll, and a roadside kit.
