Beschreibung
Introduced in 1948, Harley-Davidson’s Panhead V-twin earned its nickname from its distinctive pan-shaped rocker covers and became one of the marque’s most recognizable and enduring postwar engines. This motorcycle was built by the Thunderdome workshop, an offshoot of Long Island-based dealer Lighthouse Harley-Davidson. The bike was constructed using an aftermarket frame, fitted with an S&S engine block and S&S Panhead-style top end. A hand-shift that connects to the foot-operated shifter adds period visual drama and character. The build is completed with custom bodywork conceived and executed by the Lighthouse H-D workshop, finished in green with red pinstriping. Modern touches, such as disc brakes and turn signals, make this bike more practical for contemporary roads.
