The Ferrari 330 range (produced between 1963 and 1968) represents the golden age of Maranello’s Grand Tourers. Succeeding the legendary ‘250’ family, it owes its name to its engine: the displacement of each individual cylinder is approximately 330 cm³. Multiply that by 12, and you have the heart of the beast: the legendary Colombo V12, tuned to 4.0 litres.
“Il Commendatore” prioritised comfort for his daily journeys. He personally used two development prototypes, followed by a production version with four headlights (chassis #7161GT) as his personal and company car in 1965 and 1966. For him, it was the perfect balance: a V12 engine for family travel.
First registered in 1965, this Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 bears chassis number #5613. Originally sold new in Italy by the renowned Italcar Fontanella dealership, it features its original grey paintwork and black leather interior. Its authenticity and history are fully traceable, as the car is officially listed and recognised within the 330 Registry, the global authority that meticulously catalogues every example of this model.
A significant chapter in the history of this chassis lies in its restoration during the 2000s. On that occasion, the bodywork was repainted from its original grey to a sumptuous dark blue, paired with beige leather. The car was then based in Monaco before returning to Italy. In 2014 and 2015, a major restoration was undertaken, this time involving the removal and rebuild of engine #7553. The work was entrusted to the leading names in Italian automotive craftsmanship: the prestigious workshops of Autofficina Bonini and the official Ferrari Bologna network. Upon completion of the restoration, a Classiche certificate will be issued.
Acquired in 2023 by its current French owner, the car has been jealously preserved but has been driven very little since its purchase. Stored in optimal conditions, this Grand Tourer is now presented as a superb opportunity to get it back on the road.
