A true expression of German automotive expertise, BMW launched its 7 Series in 1977, laying the foundations for one of the brand’s most iconic model lines. A subtle blend of refinement, technology and driving pleasure, this large saloon perfectly embodies BMW’s philosophy of the late 1970s.
Its development took five years and utilised computer-aided design, featuring highly innovative equipment for the time such as cruise control, ABS, an on-board computer and automatic air conditioning.
Our example was purchased in July 1989 by the current owner. A visionary and enthusiast, he chose this car for its remarkable 218 ch M90 straight-six engine, paired with the rare five-speed manual gearbox.
But it is, above all, its remarkable condition that catches the eye. Carefully preserved over the decades, this E23 underwent extensive mechanical refurbishment a year ago to bring it to its current condition. Please note that its odometer was replaced in 1993 (the original has been retained and is sold with the car, showing 47,804 km) with a new one that now reads just over 60,500 km.
