- Supported by owner’s guide, Jürgen Barth build data, and an estratto cronologico document listing the car’s Italian ownership history
According to Kardex information supplied by famed Porsche historian Jürgen Barth, chassis number 9113310464 left the factory wearing Light Ivory paintwork with a Black top over a Black leatherette interior. From the final year of production for the ‘long-bonnet’ 911, this Targa was delivered new in Italy and remained in the country until being acquired by a Danish owner in 2011; from 2015, it formed part of a prominent French collection.
Invoices on file detail that the matching-numbers engine was rebuilt in 2019 by Cassis, France-based Porsche specialist Joffroy Automobile. As part of the process, which cost almost €27,000, the flat-six was enlarged by 300 cc to 2.7 litres. Corresponding dynamometer runs record a considerable boost from 190 to 227 PS.
The 911 presents today in its factory-correct colour combination following a repaint by Interni Auto Maieli, based in northern Italy, further to a November 2017 interior retrim. Accordingly, it was awarded a prestigious Automotoclub Storico Italiano Gold Plate (Targa Oro). The car has been retained by The Porsche Heritage Collection in Italy since November 2021 and now heads to auction ready to charm a new custodian.
