The Aston Martin DB7 marked a new chapter for the marque when launched in 1994, combining traditional Aston Martin elegance with contemporary engineering and styling penned by a young Ian Callum. Developed from the Jaguar XJS platform and initially powered by a supercharged 3.2-litre straight-six, the DB7 evolved considerably during its production run, with the 5.9-litre V12 introduced in 1999. For 2002, Aston Martin introduced the ultimate versions of the DB7, the GT and GTA, receiving a number of chassis and styling revisions along with uprated performance. The GT produced 435bhp through a six-speed manual gearbox, whilst the GTA offered 420bhp and the convenience of a five-speed Touchtronic automatic. With just 302 examples of GT and GTA produced, these are amongst the rarest and most desirable iterations of the DB7.

Offered here at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2026 is this delightful DB7 GTA, one of just 112 GTs produced with the automatic gearbox. Supplied new by JCT600 in Leeds and first registered in May 2003, this attractive Aston Martin was specified in Tungsten Silver Metallic with optional, full Charcoal leather, grey inserts, light grey Alcantara headlining and grey carpets.

Today, the DB7 presents extremely well, with uniform paintwork across the body and an interior showing only minimal wear, commensurate with its age. On test the engine fired into life with an eager note and we are informed that on the road the Aston performs well and handles and stops with confidence. The V12 delivers its 420bhp effortlessly and the five-speed automatic transmission smoothly shifts through the well-spaced ratios.

The car is accompanied by its original book pack, including the service supplement, recording 12 stamps in total up to 2020 at 51,987 miles. From 2009 to 2020 it was maintained by Chiltern Aston Martin, with AM specialist maintenance thereafter. The most recent service was carried out by, independent Aston Martin specialist, Bamford Rose, in June 2026 at 54,442 miles, including an oil service, MOT and replacement of the rear suspension arms. The MOT is valid until 22nd June 2027.
