This Ferrari 250 GTE was originally destined for the Ferrari stand at the Paris Motor Show in October 1961, according to the accompanying report by Marc Rabineau, French-delivery car historian. However, the impatience of its first owner prevailed, and he took delivery through Franco-Britannic Autos Ltd., Ferrari's first official exclusive importer in Paris, whose plaque the car still carries. He took delivery in early October 1961, by which time the car was already finished in its present Grigio Fumo over a Beige Connolly leather interior and registered on the French Riviera as 482 JK 06.

During its first four years, the 250 GTE changed hands several times in France, each time through its original dealer. Its registrations alternated between Paris (75) and the Alps (74), and its notable owners included French yé-yé singer Richard Anthony. In November 1965, Franco-Britannic Autos Ltd. sold the car one last time, to the owner who will take care of it for the next four decades, in Strasbourg, Alsace, registered as 250 MR 67.

In 2009, the Ferrari passed to a German publisher based in Bergisch Gladbach. It subsequently returned to France, where its story entered a new chapter through an extensive restoration undertaken by successive owners to restore its former brilliance. Initially receiving cosmetic attention, the car was acquired in 2010 by its next owner, who completed the restoration in 2013 for €40.000. The work included a complete rebuild of the replacement, restamped, engine and brakes, restoration of the Borrani wheels at the factory, and a full restoration of the interior by a specialist. The overdrive was later rebuilt, a new clutch installed, and the paintwork refreshed, before the car was offered at public auction in 2015.

Successful bidder, the current German owner acquired the Ferrari. Since then, he has undertaken further maintenance and restoration work totaling approximately €25.000, fully documented in the file. During his eleven years of ownership, he has also driven his car approximately 18,000 km, participating in numerous classic rallies.

Today, this Ferrari 250 GTE is presented in its original color combination, accompanied by original tools and a matching spare wheel. It is offered with an extensive history file, including a history report and numerous restoration invoices, as well as a GTÜ inspection valid through June 2027.
