One of the most recognised classic bikes of all time and still one of the most coveted classic motorcycles the 900SS is generally regarded as the quintessential Italian sports bike of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Powered by an 864cc version of the Ducati bevel V-twin it produced about 70 hp, it is one bike that absolutely have to own at some stage in your life and now is as good a time as any.

This example was UK supplied and registered 1st March 1980 and has had just 4 owners in total. A copy of an invoice dated 4th April 1998 from Baines Racing shows a top end engine rebuild and work to the gearbox, an old MoT dated Sept that year shows the milage was 42,195. Now showing just 42,195 it appears the bike hasn’t covered many miles since that work.

Having been in a collection abroad the bike was returned to the in 2022 and had more restoration work which included an overhaul of the front and rear brakes, new clutch and fork seals, the bodywork was also repainted in 2024 and the bike has been converted to electronic ignition.

In generally fine order and in good running condition and supplied with a small history file with invoices for the recent work the UK V5C logbook and an original owners handbook and the spare original twin seat.
