Drawing heavily upon Ferrari’s extensive experience in Formula 1 and competition, the SF90 became the marque’s first series-production plug-in hybrid and demonstrated just how closely Ferrari’s road and racing programmes had become intertwined.

Its powertrain combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with three electric motors, producing a remarkable 986bhp. Power is delivered through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and sophisticated four-wheel-drive system, allowing the SF90 to accelerate from 0–62mph in just 2.5 seconds and continue to a top speed of 211mph.

The SF90 Spider brings another dimension to this extraordinary package. Retaining the immense performance and technological capability of the SF90 Stradale, it incorporates Ferrari’s retractable hard top, allowing the V8 powertrain to be enjoyed with the roof lowered while preserving the dramatic proportions and character of the coupé.

The result is a car which combines hypercar levels of performance with open-air motoring and represents one of the most technologically significant Ferraris of the modern era.
