The name Volkswagen Buggy Meyers Manx instantly conjures images of sun-drenched beaches, freedom and the purest driving pleasure. The origins of this legendary buggy go back to the early 1960s, when designer and surfer Bruce Meyers developed a revolutionary concept based on the dependable platform of the Volkswagen Beetle. The result: a light, agile and playful beach buggy with a unique fibreglass body.

The Meyers Manx swiftly grew into a cultural icon. Thanks to its excellent handling, low weight and rugged Volkswagen engineering, the buggy won over both leisure drivers and off-road enthusiasts alike. In the United States it became world-famous after impressive performances in desert races such as the Baja 1000.
Here in Britain, too, the buggy found its way to lovers of classic cars and remarkable recreational vehicles. This particular example has an original Dutch body, which makes it all the more appealing to collectors and purists. The rare and much-loved classic Goldi specification underlines the exclusive character of this Meyers Manx.
