The Austin-Healey 100/6 is an iconic ambassador of 1950s British sports car heritage. The Austin-Healey marque was born in 1952 from a collaboration between the Donald Healey Motor Company and Austin (British Motor Corporation). The goal was clear: to build pure, affordable sports cars with outstanding performance, low weight and a timeless design.
The original Austin-Healey 100 made its debut at the 1952 London Motor Show and became an instant sensation. In 1956 came the Austin-Healey 100/6, a significant evolution of the model. The biggest change was the introduction of the six-cylinder engine, which made the 100/6 not only more powerful, but also more refined and better suited to longer journeys. This model also formed the bridge between the original 100 and the later, hugely successful Austin-Healey 3000.
The Austin-Healey 100/6 was praised for its excellent road holding, long bonnet, low seating position and pure driving experience. It was a car that held its own both on the public road and in motorsport, and today it ranks among the most sought-after classic British roadsters.
