BMW 7-Serie E3 3.0 Li, 1977. Two owners, 34,249 km, service books from new.

On a crisp winter's day in Switzerland, the 21st of February 1977, the first owner of this majestic BMW 3.0 litre saloon collected his new car from the dealer. Finished in the enchanting shade of BMW Fjord, with a stylish blue interior, this was no ordinary motor car. It was a symbol of luxury, power and progress. Today this car, a true rolling museum piece, stands gleaming in the showroom of HooG Selections in Katwijk, ready to be admired and driven. We brought this beautiful E3 to the Netherlands all the way from Switzerland.

After a period in which BMW withdrew from the top segment, the marque returned in full glory with the introduction of the BMW E3 3.0 litre sedan. This luxurious saloon, powered by a mighty six-cylinder engine producing 180 bhp, was launched with high expectations as a rival to Mercedes-Benz. The car was originally fitted with a self-levelling system, later simplified due to technical unreliability. Even so, the 3.0 litre remained a success story and was swiftly followed by the popular BMW 2500 with its 2.5 litre engine. Ultimately, this evolution led to the introduction of the very first BMW 7 Series in 1977.

The price shown is the full price for collection in Katwijk. We arrange insured door-to-door transport worldwide, cost quoted per destination beforehand.
