Beschreibung

Introduced in 1999, the Mini Cooper S Works represented the final evolution of the classic Mini to emerge from John Cooper Garages. Developed in close collaboration with Rover, it built upon a decade of John Cooper's involvement in the revival of the Mini Cooper, following the success of the RSP, Grand Prix, S Touring and Sport 5 models. Producing 90bhp from its 1275cc multi-point injection A-Series engine - a 40% increase over the standard Cooper - the S Works was the most powerful production classic Mini ever built. Each car was completed with distinctive John Cooper Garages features, including unique badging, decals, an engraved crossmember plaque and Cooper-specific detailing. Produced in very limited numbers during the final years of classic Mini production, the Cooper S Works is today regarded as one of the rarest and most desirable variants of the Rover Mini.

Supplied new by John Cooper Garages on 1st February 1999, this Mini Cooper S Works, car number 4, is presented in desirable Tahiti Blue with a contrasting white roof and bonnet stripes. Inside, the cabin features a stone beige and black 'Monaco' interior complemented by an S Works stainless steel dash and matching door cappings. 'John Cooper' door-step covers, alloy door furniture and pedals and an Alpine CD/radio paired with Goodmans speakers. Specified with the factory Sportspack, this Mini has covered 58,521 miles from new and has been cherished by its latest custodian for the past twenty-three years, with just one previous owner. The car was serviced and maintained by John Cooper Garages and Works until approximately 31,779 miles, after which it has continued to be cared for largely by the same trusted MG/Rover specialist. Despite covering only modest annual mileages in recent years, it has been MoT tested without exception and carefully stored when not in use. The benefits of such ownership are immediately apparent as the car presents exceptionally well. John Cooper Garages number plates are present front and rear, while attached to the crossmember resides the identification plaque engraved with car number 'S-WKS-004'. Recently serviced and MoT'd, the Mini is accompanied by a comprehensive history file dating back to first registration, with full service history including the original stamped service book.
