Beschreibung
1947 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport Coupe by Touring Superleggera
One of approximately 120 Touring Superleggera coupes built
• Four owners from new
• Numbers-matching engine
• Alfa Romeo Certificate of Origin
• FIVA Identity Card
One of the last truly coachbuilt Alfa Romeos, chassis 915539 represents the final evolution of Vittorio Jano's legendary six-cylinder grand touring automobiles. Built on one of only 383 post-war 6C 2500 Super Sport chassis and individually bodied by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, this beautifully documented example combines exceptional provenance, factory documentation, an award-winning restoration, and careful mechanical preparation for continued touring.
Completed by Alfa Romeo on 27 December 1946 and delivered new through Alfa Romeo's Lisbon distributor on 13 June 1947, the car remained with its original owner and family in Portugal for nearly sixty years. Its Alfa Romeo Certificate of Origin confirms its original Grigio over Bleu color combination and its original numbers-matching engine.

Carefully Prepared for the Next Steward
Following its award-winning restoration, the current owner has concentrated on careful mechanical preparation and continued preservation rather than additional cosmetic restoration. The objective has been straightforward: maintain the integrity of an exceptional automobile while ensuring it remains reliable, enjoyable, and ready for concours presentation or premier vintage touring events.
Unlike many collector automobiles that spend years as static display pieces, this Alfa Romeo has continued to be exercised and mechanically maintained with thoughtful attention to reliability while respecting its originality and character.
