Duties & Responsibilities
As Classic Driver’s Video Editor & Producer, you help define and implement the brand’s classic, elegant, and stylish visual identity across all video formats. You edit, refine, and elevate footage from diverse sources — from high-end productions to spontaneous smartphone clips — into a seamless, recognisable stream of premium content.
Video Editing & Post-Production
- Support the content team in defining and developing new Classic Driver video formats
- Edit long-form video features, interviews, and documentary-style storytelling.
- Produce short-form, fast-paced social media videos tailored for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other vertical formats.
- Craft cohesive narratives from mixed-quality footage (client assets, event clips, archive material, on-site shoots).
- Perform colour grading, audio editing, and music selection to achieve a polished, high-end finish.
- Maintain and evolve Classic Driver’s signature visual style across all content.
Content Production & Creative Execution
- Support the planning and preparation of video content across multiple formats.
- Assist with storyboarding, shot lists, and creative concepts for editorial and branded projects.
- Brief freelance video producers on content deliverables
- Assist with production logistics
- Prepare deliverables for publication, including subtitles, thumbnails, metadata, and platform-specific cuts.
- Ensure visual consistency and attention to detail in all video outputs.
Graphics, Motion & Brand Identity
- Design clean, elegant graphics and layouts in line with Classic Driver’s visual identity.
- Create simple motion graphics and animations for intros, transitions, and informational overlays.
- Commission and supervise freelance talents
- Help maintain a cohesive on-screen typography and graphic language.
AI-Assisted Video Workflows
- Use AI tools for tasks such as rough cuts, transcription, audio enhancement, upscaling, or asset generation.
- Recommend new tools and workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and storytelling.
Content Coordination & Asset Management
- Review, organise, and prepare incoming footage from freelancers, partners, events, and internal contributors.
- Work closely with the Director of Productions, Editor-in-Chief, and social media team to align on priorities and deadlines.
- Maintain structured archives of templates, footage, graphics, and project files.
Production Support
- Assist on location at shoots with basic camera work, lighting support, logistics, or content capture.
- Attend events or productions when required to gather supplementary footage or produce quick-turnaround clips.
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings:
- Proven experience as a video editor for both long-form and short-format social media content.
- A strong aesthetic sense and understanding of elegant, timeless visual storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects or similar tools for motion graphics and simple animations.
- Familiarity with AI video tools and openness to integrating new technologies.
- Ability to elevate varied-quality footage into a polished, unified visual product.
- Understanding of social video trends, best practices, and platform-specific storytelling.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A collaborative mindset suited for working with a distributed international team.
