Beschreibung
In the aftermath of World War II, the automobile industry was one of the stars of Japan's reconstruction. Datsun played a key role in Japanese mobilization by building Austin vehicles under license.
This is the Datsun 320 truck, one of the Japanese brand's first international bestsellers at the time, which despite its reliability and simplicity does not hide its British genes.
Under the bonnet is a 1200cc four-cylinder engine very similar to the Austin B-Series which, with its 60 ps, is more than enough to meet the demands. The four-speed gearbox, operated on the steering column, is easy to use and allows you to travel at 100 km/ h effortlessly. The suspension is double-leaf springs at the rear and a torsion bar at the front.
These early Japanese products lacked the refinement and performance of their European or American counterparts, but made up for it with reliability and an affordable price. It is therefore not surprising that these early Datsun pickups were a commercial success in emerging economies in South America and Africa.
This 320 was sold new in Angola in 1964 and is in very good condition. It has recently undergone restoration and is 100% functional, ready to explore new paths!
