A nice unrestored and original matching number Jaguar Mk 2 3.8 litre with 4 speed manual with overdrive and powersteering.
This Jaguar 3.8 Litre was manufactured 21 st of June 1961 and registered in Switzerland via dealer Emil Frey of Zurich.

A rare manual with overdrive it still has its original engine (matching nr.)
The colors of the car were and are Pearl grey with light blue leather interior. Powersteering is an original option.
With the car is a nice history file with a Heritage sheet showing all correct nrs.
A very nice copy of the rare Swiss Wagenkarte comes with the car from dealer Emil Frey Zurich showing even the key nrs and the Nylon Dunlop 6.40-15 tyres fitted.

In 1983 the engine was fully rebuilt as stated by Garage Fahrni of Bern also a new exhaust and clutch were fitted.
In 1991 several maintenance works fro 5176 Sfr.
In 1991 some repairs were done to the sills at cost of 7142 Sfr.
In 1996 brake repairs at cost of 3668 Sfr.

Somewhere sometime in Switzerland it had a small accident on the nose which is still visible looking carefully behind the grille from below and apparently only the grill was replaced and metalwork not done to full extent. This could be improved.
Maybe then the car was also resprayed.
In 1996 it had Swiss registration BE1670/2001 owner was a Mr. F. Laederach of Bern.
Several invoices from maintenance works are with the car.
In 2001 it was bought by a Dutchman he had the car inspected at an official dealer. Mileage was 24000 km recorded.
Recently the car has been serviced, some doorrubbers replaced and new engine mounts were fitted.
This is a lovely car and drives very nicely with strong power a good gearbox and is quite fast on the motorway with its relaxed overdrive mode. The powersteering is a very pleasant feature too

Mileage now is 37.000 km recorded (137.000 we expect)

Here we have a good and original car which drives really nice and is a great affordable classic in the best and Swiss specification.
