1970 JAGUAR E-TYPE 4.2 LITER SERIES 2 COUPE 2+2:
--British Racing Green with Beige leather interior, Beige carpeting, Restored, 4.2 liter engine uprated to triple carburetors, 5-speed manual gearbox, Chrome wire wheels, Matching Numbers, Well serviced, Long-term ownership, Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.

According to the accompanying Heritage certificate, this numbers matching E-Type was dispatched from the factory on January 19th, 1970 and sold through Jaguar distributor, Peter Lindner of Frankfurt, Germany on February 19th, 1970.

Its first owner was Captain John T. Boyt of Sarasota, FL. Captain Boyt purchased the E-Type while stationed in Frankfurt. The E-Type was well cared for and serviced before being shipped back to Sarasota in the Fall of 1970. The Captain serviced the E-Type through Jaguar specialist shops in Florida and George throughout the 1970s. He even kept records of every fuel stop in the original Ward’s Motor Record Book. The Captain then relocated to California and brought the E-Type with him as shown on all corresponding registrations. The final registration with the Captain was from 1986.

The E-Type appeared to sit untouched in a garage after the Captain’s ownership. It was at this point a full restoration was performed to return this 2+2 into showroom fresh condition. Following the restoration, the E-Type was owned by Mr. Mitchell Markow of St. Louis, MO until 2011 and then sold to its next custodian in 2013 to Mr. Steve Zalesin of Westchester, NY. The E-Type was serviced thoroughly with Briarcliff Classic & Imported Car Service in Briarcliff, NY, making sure all mechanicals remained in excellent working order. An uprated 5-speed gearbox was installed as well as triple SU carburetors. Mr. Zalesin then sold the E-Type to its previous owner, another Jaguar collector who also serviced with Briarcliff Classic & Imported Car Service.

A recent road test attests to the car performing flawlessly in every way, and it is indeed ready for immediate use and enjoyment. This E-Type 2+2 is complete with its original books, all service records, jack, wheel hammer, spare wheel and Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.
