The Jaguar E type series 3 OTS. A car from the time when smoking was still healthy, the television only had one channel and most important; the time where driving was still real, without tools or sensation-enhancing foolery!

The E type was introduced in Europe on 15 March 1961 at the Geneva Motor Show and in the United States in April that same year at the New York Motor Show. When the car was shown for the first time, Enzo Ferrari called it 'The most beautiful car ever made'. To this day he is still right!

Our E type is of the last generation, the series 3. In 1971 the series 3 was introduced. The most noteworthy change was the brutal 5.3 litre V12 engine. Because it was such a heavy engine the power steering became standard as well. Furthermore, the wheel arches were knocked out a bit and the grill became a bit bigger, to cool the muscular black cat. With the four wide exhaust-size pieces that roar and growl when the Jaguar is started, as a enthusiast you can't escape getting in with a wide smile every time.

Der Typ E wurde in Europa am 15. März 1961 auf dem Genfer Autosalon und in den Vereinigten Staaten im April desselben Jahres auf dem New Yorker Autosalon eingeführt. Als das Auto zum ersten Mal gezeigt wurde, nannte Enzo Ferrari es "das schönste Auto, das je gebaut wurde". Bis heute hat er immer noch Recht!

Unser Typ E ist von der letzten Generation, der Serie 3. 1971 wurde die Serie 3 eingeführt. Die bemerkenswerteste Änderung war der brutale 5,3-Liter-V12-Motor. Da es sich um einen so schweren Motor handelte, wurde auch die Servolenkung zum Standard. Außerdem wurden die Radkästen etwas herausgeschlagen und der Grill etwas größer, um die muskulöse schwarze Katze zu kühlen. Mit den vier breiten, auspuffgroßen Teilen, die beim Start des Jaguars brüllen und knurren, kann man als Enthusiast nicht umhin, jedes Mal mit einem breiten Lächeln einzusteigen.
