We have an Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo, productionnumber 393, in absolutely top condition available. The Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo is an Alpina built high performance version of the BMW5 series E34. Based on the BMW 535i with many upgrades, production started in 1989. The development costs were a staggering 3.2 million $! Every Alpina was built by disassembling a M30 BMW engine, then fitting forged Mahle pistons, 2 water-cooled Garrett turbo`s in combination with a Bosche 0.4-0.8 Bar driver operated variable pressure regulator. To cope with all this extra power they also fitted a Getrag 290 5-speed gearbox. The overall effect was an increase in power from 208 Hp. to 360 Hp.making it the fastest sedan car around at its introduction! But there was more Alpina did! The whole suspension was fitted with Alpina spec springs and stabilizer rods, Bilstein shock absorbers and bigger brakes. Alpina claimed a top of 290 km/hr. and 0-100 km of 5.6 seconds. The Alpina had the same performance as the Ferrari Testarossa. At the time it was twice as expensive as an E34 M5. A Dutch Alpina collector owned this particular car. It has done 146,421 km and is in pristine condition. The straight bodywork has a perfect coat of paint and all the correct body panel fittings. The perfect underbody shows no signs of rust. It has the original Diamantschwarz Metallic’ finish with a ‘Wasserbuffel’ black leather trim. Out of a total production run of 507 this is number 393. It has every imaginable accessory of the day including; electrically adjustable chairs with memory, a sunroof, cruise-control, climate-control and an extensive board computer. For the enthusiast or collector this is a really special car, especially in such a pristine condition!
