As part of activities to mark the 70th anniversary of the Prancing Horse, Ferrari Tailor Made put a modern twist on the stylistic features and elements that distinguished 70 of the most beautiful Ferraris in history and in so doing created just 70 unique vehicles.

Seventy exclusive liveries, each created just the once for every car in the then current range, aimed to blend the past with the future to create the icons of tomorrow. The inspiration came from extraordinary models from the marques history books. All the cars were available only to VIP clients and were distinguished not only by their livery but also by the exclusive commemorative logo of the 70th anniversary along with an ID plate with the name of the model that inspired it.

This 488 Spider was built to commemorate one of the greatest ex-works sports racing Ferraris of all time, none other than the Ferrari 290MM #0626 (a car handled by DK in the past), the very car driven by Juan Manuel Fangio for the 1956 Mille Miglia; and also a full season member of the Scuderia Ferrari team of that year in the world sports car championship. A championship where they not only dominated, but won overall with the invaluable help of 0626.

Designed for the 1956 championship the 290M was a car to run alongside the 3.5 Litre and 4 cylinder 860 Monza, it was mounted with a V12 engine with dual ignition and dry sump derived from the 4.5-litre Grand Prix.

As part of its homage to 0626, this 488 Spider was finished in Rosso Corsa DS322, with a nose band inspired by 0626. It is complete with alternate colour seats and colour coded interior bezels to match the nose as well as numerous other discrete details. The specification of the car is extremely high and it is equipped with (but not limited to) as follows; Apple Car Play, factory painted wing shields, yellow callipers, carbon rear airducts, carbon B trims, carbon rear diffuser, carbon driving zone, carbon central bridge, carbon door panels, carbon sills, telemetry, suspension lift, stitched Cavallinos, a sports exhaust, carbon front splitter, parking cameras (F&R), parking sensors (F&R), Passenger display, yellow rev counter, premium Hi-Fi and Racing seats.

Today the car has covered just 300 miles from new and is in as new condition. It represents a real opportunity to buy a notable and unique motorcar that can tell a story about the world’s greatest brand and their racing history.
