Beschreibung

The racing version of the Porsche 993 GT2 differed visiually in its bolt-an fender flares (40mm at the fron and 30mm at the rear) as well as aerodynamic parts with large air inlets for more brake cooling, similiar to the RS. Also a larger adjustable rear wing was mounted on the engine lid. The suspension was fitted with spherical joints instead of rubber bushings.

The air cooled six-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine developed 450 bhp in its standard configuration and up to 550bhp with the conversion kit including larger KKK turbochargers at a cost of 54.500DM.

Chassis Number WPOZZZ99ZTS393107 was delivered new in January 1996 to Mr. Jean-Francois Veroux resident in Paris. A final confirmation letter from Porsche in 1996 showing some recent pre deilvery work and checks done by the factory.

Very soon after the car had its first appearance in March 1996 at the 4 hours of Monza. Some appearances later Chassis 393107 turned up in the GTR Series and Italien GT Championship 1998 with a 3rd Place overall at the 4 hours of Paul Ricard and 1st Place overall at the 6 hours of Misano. Several races later successfully finshing the 1998 season it was sold in 1999 to Rugero Grassi who campaigned the car at the Italian Porsche Club Races until 2000. Sold on to Mr. Caligaris, also resident in Italy, the car retired in the early 2000s. In 2015 the car was sold to Germany to a well known collector and ambitious race driver who decided to preserve the car in its 1998 Misano winning livery. At the same time well known Porsche Specialist Roytmayer was commissioned to overhaul the mechanic and some body work with no compromises to cost or quality. Summing up to more than €70.000,- of recent provable work this Porsche 993 GT2 race car is ready and eligiable for numerous events around the globe. At the same time it is a promising investment as race cars only recently have gained higher interest due to growing restrictions on the road and popular race series’ like global endurance legends.
