This V8 Vantage Volante is 1 of a total of 167 Vantage Volantes produced by the factory. Of the 167 cars, 109 were true V8 Vantage Volantes with the full ‘580X-pack’ 400+ bhp engine (30 automatics & 79 manuals), 33 of these cars were left hand drive (for the European market) and 76 were right hand drive for the (UK market). Due to USA regulations the American market was left with the “Cosmetic Vantage Volante” with the less powerful Weber Marelli Fuel Injected engine as it would meet USA emission requirements. The factory thus exported 58 left hand drive examples to the USA.
This V8 Vantage Volante was delivered new through Aston Martin factory distributor HWM Motors Ltd. to first owner Mr. D. Embleton, Esq. Subsequently, it was found itself in the ownership of Mr. T. Hazelton circa 2006, also a UK resident. During Mr. Hazelton’s ownership, the Vantage was serviced with Aston Heritage specialists, The Aston Workshop. During 2010 it was consigned with The Aston Workshop during 2010 and offered for sale. It was purchased by German collector, Mr. P. Wetzlar.

Immediately upon purchase, Mr. Wetzlar employed The Aston Workshop to convert the car to factory LHD specifications and service the car throughout in preparation for his collection and new ownership. During Mr. Wetzlar’s ownership this V8 Vantage Volante was serviced by The Aston Workshop as well as Aston Martin Works Service always being transported by enclosed carrier for servicing, when and where needed regardless of use.

In 2015, this V8 Vantage Volante was part of a multi car purchase between Mr. Wetzlar and Autosport Designs and imported to the USA. It was sold almost immediately to a good client-collector here in New York. This V8 Vantage Volante X-Pack has just been taken in a multi-car trade. It has been serviced and cared for by Autosport Designs since its importation to the USA.
As can be seen from the detailed photos, this is without a doubt one of the best V8 Vantage Volante 580X-packs in available, anywhere. It has been kept in superb condition both mechanically and structurally, has low original miles, is matching numbers, original color combination, original 5-speed manual, has been cared for regardless of use and only used in seasonal weather conditions. It has rarely been in the rain and unless caught upon one of its outings. It is offered with its original tools, books, jack and complete ownership and service history.
