The XK 150 Fixed Head Coupé premiered in 1957—the last of Jaguar’s XK-series cars. As the swansong, the XK 150 featured upgrades that engineers adapted from both the XK 120 and XK 140. Many believe the XK 150, particularly the FHC, was the best of the three models to live with. Mechanically, the XK 150 benefitted from the addition of four-wheel disc brakes, the first time such a feature was ever fitted to a production car.

In the case of the FHC, the improvements made for a wonderful grand tourer, as exciting to look at as it was to drive for extended periods. In 1959 Jaguar further enhanced the XK 150 by introducing the 3.8-litre engine, replacing the existing 3.4-litre, bringing total output to 220 horsepower. This 1959 XK 150 FHC epitomises 1950s British style, with its white exterior over handsome red leather interior and dashboard-mounted automatic transmission. Notably, these are the car’s current and original colours, and it retains its original engine and transmission. The XK 150 was the last of the line for the XK cars, and every Jaguar enthusiast should own one.
