This Fiat Abarth Ritmo 125TC from 1982 is in a restored, neat, driving condition. In September 1981 the 'Ritmo Abarth 125 TC' was shown at the Internationale Automobilausstellung in Frankfurt. This was a modified version of the Ritmo 105 TC with a 1,995 cc, 125 hp dohc engine, ventilated disc brakes, a new ZF five-speed gearbox and reinforced components. The 125 TC had an acceleration of 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.8 seconds. These were the last cars made by Abarth himself for the sale of the company to Fiat. The 125 TC had a top speed of 195 kilometers per hour and was the only 'hot hatch' in the 80s that was not yet equipped with fuel injection. The powerful dohc engine was coupled with a close ratio gearbox from ZF and had better performance than rivals like the Volkswagen Golf GTI, the Ford Escort XR3i and the Opel Kadett GSi. The Abarth was therefore widely used in racing, including the rally-cross, and competed against, among others, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale and Ford Escort MK3 XR3i.
