Beschreibung

This highly appealing 911 is one of the desirable early chassis numbers and was completed in May 1965.

Supplied new via Bob Bywater, the official Porsche dealer in Florence, South Carolina to Roland Skinner Jr. in the same town. The original service book for the car shows that regular servicing was carried out by the dealer with some 27,000 miles enjoyed in the first couple of years.
Skinner sold the 911 in November 1967 to the second owner Charles Martin Jr. of San Antonia, Texas. Reassuringly, there are also original invoices in the file showing service work carried out during his ownership.

In more recent years, the car was owned by a resident of Georgia who carried out extensive restoration work before the present owner acquired it. In his ownership he has had the car gone through earlier this year by a UK specialist to ensure that it is in great driving condition. The carburettors have been restored, a new exhaust fitted and the gearbox rebuilt.

Still fitted with its original engine, this super example is a pleasure to drive. So light and easy - to have achieved that package in 1965 was some feat!
