Delivered new in September 1959 to California. Chassis 1435 GT, an early inside plug, drum brake model was supplied in the colour combination of grigio conchiglia with pelle verde interior. It is believed that an early owners wife desired a hue that bore resemblance to one of her preferred jewellers.

The Coupe subsequently sold to Germany and belonged in a significant collection before the present owner acquired it in 2014. It was given red book certification and has recently been fully serviced.
