Manufactured from September 1994 to December 2003, the Aston Martin DB7 was a grand tourer available either as a coupe or a convertible, initially debuting in closed form at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1993. This six cylinder model replaced the lower range Aston Martin V8s and was positioned below the more hand-built V8 Virage introduced a few years earlier. The DB7 subsequently became the most successful Aston Martin model ever, with more than 7,000 built before it was replaced by the DB9. Beautifully styled by Ian Callum, the DB7 is also widely considered to be one of the most beautiful and timeless of automotive designs.
During June 1997, Aston Martin unveiled a special edition DB7 for Alfred Dunhill, the leading English company specialising in clothing and accessories for a discerning clientele.
