The car we are delighted to offer today is an all aluminium example. A highly desirable, early chassis design originally supplied during the beginning of the 80‘s in body and chassis form by Proteus founder Jim Marland. The previous MD of Proteus John Gregson (now deceased) bought the unfinished project and stored it for many years unregistered. However, this year the current Directors of Proteus rebuilt the car throughout.
First it was stripped, the chassis checked, shot blasted and baked powder coating was applied. The rear suspension mountings were modified to Marland Series 2 to improve the suspension characteristics of the earlier chassis. A new aluminium rear end and bonnet in 1050A H24,1.5mm sheets were then hand crafted. The central aluminium tub, originally hand made by Shapecraft of Northampton was
